Unfortunately the Supercard team will not release the SNES emulator this month as they wanted too. They have some problems with there SDK and want to work on that first. We don’t want them to make a SNES emulator from a broken SDK. But the Supercard DStwo team said that they will be releasing the SDK this month.

With the SDK other people can create homebrews for the Supercard DStwo and use its extra power. The Supercard team released the iReader a couple weeks ago, but they still need to update that as well, the iReader can not support PDF files a lot they load to slowly and take forever to turn the page.

So they are working on 5 different things right now, iReader, SDK, Snes emulator, GBA emulator, and the movie player. Luckily the forum admin from the Supercard forums got a early release of the SNES emulator. You can check the pictures out in his post.

My Flashcarts of choice.

There are lots of flashcarts out there. Plenty of R4′s, and other great flashcarts. All of this might be confusing for the first time buyer of a flashcart, most of you are wondering about which flashcart should I get since there are so many to chose. Well I will be telling you the advantage of each flashcart and who it is good for.

R4 DS- This flashcart is good for the average user who just wants to play there games and thats it. This flashcart will not work on DSi nor it has SDHC support. I will not recommend this flashcart to you if you want to have lots of games. But if you are short on money and really need a flashcart the R4 is a great choice.

Acekard 2i- This flashcart is like the R4 but will work on the DSI and has SDHC support. So this flashcart covers the cons that the R4 has. I will recommend this flashcart to anyone who wants to play any game they want and to have lots of games, this flashcart is also really cheap compared to the other ones and competes with them very nicely.

M3i Zero- I can not recommend this flashcart to anyone anymore since its team makes half-ass releases that do not fix the games.

Supercard DStwo- This flashcart has its own CPU which makes it stand out to the others. This is the only flashcart out of the good ones that can actually play GBA games. The flashcart is a bit pricy but worth every penny. It also has a nice team that makes new features like the SNES emulator that will be released soon for it. This cart works on all DS models as well I highly recommend this cart if you got the money. It also has lots of cool features like Real-Time Saves and in-game guide.

EZ-Flash Vi- I could recommend this cart to people as well since the compatibility is really good. It also has the Real time features like Save States and in-game guide. I do not have this cart but from the community responses it is a very good cart. I do recommend it and it works on every DS model.

PhotoFast CR-5400 mini review.

PhotoFast CR-5400 mini review:

This little thing is actually a new kind of memory stick for the PSP. There are already Memory Sticks that Sony makes but they are usually pretty expensive and don’t have a lot of room to begin with. Now you could use regular MicroSD’s for your PSP, but not only 1 MicroSD at a time you can put in 2.

So lets say you have a 4GB MicroSD and a 8GB MicroSD once you put in both of them into your CR-5400 you now have a 12GB Memory Stick for your PSP. The speed won’t be as great as the regular Memory Sticks but its still great for running those ISO’s, the speed also matters about what kind of MicroSD you use if the class of the MicroSD 6 then the CR-5400 will be faster. I tested God of War CSO file and it works perfectly on my PSP 1000 running 5.00 M33-6.

The great thing about this is that MicroSD’s are really cheap these days that means I can buy 2 8GB MicroSDs and my memory stick is now 16GB. This is a great product and I recommend getting one for your PSP. You can buy it at Gamekool for only $7.50

New Handheld GPS2X

While we’re not sure just how we missed it, it seems GamePark was at E3 2010 in force, with a brand-new Linux gaming portable called the Caanoo. Though it’s got the same 533MHz ARM9 processor as its wizardly predecessor, GamePark’s doubled the memory to 128MB, and added a dedicated 3D GPU to power the larger 3.5-inch touchscreen. Throwback Sega-like buttons and a joystick take the place of those touchy D-pads, and there’s new accelerometer and vibration functions for a modicum of enhanced control.

When you’re not loading open-source games, the GPS2X system supports the usual array of photos and music as well as DivX, XviD and MPEG4 videos, and the company claims an official SDK and app store are on the way if you want to roll additional software yourself. Shame you’ll have to use a WiFi dongle to download anything.

The company expects to ship GPS2X on August 15 for $150 to importers like Play-Asia, making it viable competition for the lumbering Pandora. Find videos of the Caanoo in action after the break, and more at GamePark’s official Facebook page

There are lots of handhelds that are meant for homebrew such as the Dingoo, GP2X, Open Pandora, and many others.  And then there are handhelds that are not meant for homebrew but got hacked into for it to run homebrews such as the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.  The Dingoo is a great homebrew console because you can just buy it and put in your emulators and homebrew right into it without hacking, but the official support for the Dingoo is terrible so it relies on unofficial support.  The emulators for the Dingoo are really great because they have tons of emulators such as GBA, SNES, and many others. The GP2X is slacking in the emulators department because they don’t work as good as the Dingoos, and has terrible controls.  The Open-Pandora is probably the best for emulators it could emulate all those systems and even Nintendo 64 and PSX.  The problem with Open-Pandora is that its really expensive and hard to find since not a lot of shops sell it, there are also not too many of them.  The Sony  PSP is probably the best console for emulators it could play all those systems and could also play about %99 of all PSX games and some Nintendo 64 games.  The thing with the PSP is that you need to hack it for it to run these unlicensed software.  I still recommend the PSP to be your system for emulation purposes.   The Nintendo DS couldn’t ever compete with these systems because there weren’t a lot of emulators for the DS such as GBA, a good SNES emulator, and some others.  But now the Supercard DStwo is released and we got ourselves a GBA emulator, we are getting ourselves a good working SNES emulator soon.  The DS couldn’t compete before because it just wasn’t strong enough to run all these emulators, but now with the Supercard DStwo we can get new emulators because of the extra CPU in it.  Soon the Supercard team will release the SDK for the DStwo so people can develop different homebrew and emulators for it.  I think the DS can now compete with those other systems and be a good system for emulation.

Ever wondered what is faster in web browsing? Well I made a clear video about it for you guys to check it out. I have tested with a more websites that I didn’t include in the video and the DSi still won. Google loads up faster on the PSP for some reason though. I have also made another speed test on my PSP 1000 and the DSi was faster too.

There are lots of games in the app store. But most of them are either bad or you get bored of the game and never click on the app after you launched it the first one. But there are some games that will keep you addicted and some that are just really fun to play with. Here are my favorite 5 iPhone/iPod Touch games.

Game 5:Doodle Jump
Doodle Jump
This game is one of the most addicting games in the app store. In this game you control your Doodler by moving your iPod with tilt controls and your mission is to jump on the platforms and not to fall. The game is really addicting because you will always want to beat your high score that you had.

Game 4: FS5 Hockey
Hockey
This game is also pretty fun its air hockey for the iPhone. Its fun to just play it wherever you go and is also multiplayer. For the multiplayer mode you only need 1 iPhone/Ipod Touch. Its also great to play this game whenever you are bored and listen to music while you are playing.

Game 3: Tap Tap Revenge 3
Tap Tap
Love music? Then this game is just for you. This game is sorta like Guitar Hero but for the iPod Touch and iPhone. On the screen there is 3 buttons and you have to press them when the light goes to them like in Guitar Hero. The game also features online so you can post your scores online, the game also features its own music store so you can buy songs and then play them in Tap Tap. This game is also free!

Game 2: Brick Breaker 3D
brick breaker
Who doesn’t love brick breaker? This game is for the iPhone and it has new impressive 3D graphics and everything is shiny. There are lots of items in the game and the controls are really nice for the iPhone.

Game 1: Angry Birds
Angry Birds
My favorite game in the appstore. Angry birds has over 120 levels. The point of the game is that evil pigs stole the birds eggs. Now you have to take the birds and launch them from a slingshot in a suicidal attempt to take the lives of as many pigs as possible. In every level there are always obstacles in your way and you have to find a way to overcome them. This game is really fun and it doesn’t gets boring fast because every level in the game is unique. I recommend buying this game because I had a great time playing this game and I think this is the best game in the app store for me.
